Sources Sought: Sharps, Medical, and Pharmaceutical Waste Collection and Disposal

The Federal Correctional Institution Leavenworth is seeking contractors to provide sharps, medical, and pharmaceutical waste collection and disposal services, including two annual scheduled pickups of 12–15 boxes of regulated medical waste, disposal of sealed sharps containers and biohazard bags, handling of 8–10 pharmaceutical-waste containers per year, and supply of replacement containers and boxes. The anticipated period of performance begins October 1, 2026, under NAICS 562112. Hazardous waste collection and medical waste management firms, including small businesses meeting the $47 million size standard and GSA schedule holders, are the primary potential bidders.
