MTEC Pre-Announcement: “PRimer and prObe Manufacturing PlaTform (PROMPT)

The Defense Health Agency, via MTEC, is pre-announcing a solicitation to develop a scalable PRimer and prObe Manufacturing PlaTform (PROMPT) capable of rapidly producing high-quality primers and probes for molecular diagnostic assays. The platform is intended to strengthen domestic manufacturing capacity for reagents used in pathogen detection and other clinical testing. Eligible bidders are likely to include biotechnology firms, oligonucleotide synthesis specialists, and synthetic biology companies with experience in GMP-compliant production and government-funded medical technology development.
