Immune Mechanisms of Protection Against Mycobacterium tuberculosis Center (IMPAc-TB)

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking proposals to establish a research center focused on understanding immune mechanisms that protect against Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. The center will investigate host-pathogen interactions, vaccine-induced immunity, and biomarkers of protection to inform the development of new tuberculosis vaccines and therapies. Academic institutions, research organizations, and biotechnology companies with expertise in immunology, microbiology, and tuberculosis research are likely to submit bids.
