Automated Liquid Handling Robot

The U.S. FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine seeks one new automated robotic liquid handling system to perform DNA shearing and AMPure bead cleanup for long-read sequencing library preparation, supporting up to 96 samples in plate format while ensuring full interoperability with the agency’s existing PacBio Sequel IIe platform. The procurement includes delivery, installation, training for at least two users, consumables for 200 samples, and a one-year warranty, with all equipment required to arrive at the Laurel, Maryland laboratory within 60 days. Manufacturers and authorized distributors of laboratory automation platforms—such as those offering systems equivalent to established brands in next-generation sequencing workflows—are expected to compete on a brand-name-or-equal basis.
